    Basic Job Functions:

    Nucor Cold Finish Nebraska is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Electro-Mechanical Intern to start as of May 2026. The responsibilities of an Electro-Mechanical Intern include, but are not limited to, day-to-day electrical maintenance in the plant, automation, supporting maintenance and production crews, special projects, daily use of CMMS, eliminating downtime and waste, and improving predictive and preventative maintenance, which would include troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading production equipment.

     

    Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstratethe ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at alltimes.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Currently enrolled in a program pursuing an Associates electrical/electromechanical/mechatronics degree orequivalent.

    + Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + PLC systems building, programming, and troubleshooting experience

    + Mechanical, hydraulic, and process knowledge

     

    Must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation and must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
