As a **Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver** in **Grass Valley, CA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will have the opportunity to help create a secure environment for a busy retail and mall location. You will conduct routine patrols throughout the premises, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism and care. What You’ll Do:

+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

+ Provide customer service to clients and visitors by performing security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations at the retail or mall location in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the overall environment.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall property and around its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions as required by the site.

+ Help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior through a visible presence and attentive monitoring during patrols.

+ Document and report any security-related incidents, maintenance issues, or unusual observations encountered during patrol duties.

+ Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and location staff to promote a welcoming and orderly environment for all patrons and tenants.

What We’re Looking For:

+ Availability across various days and shifts

+ Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

+ A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

+ Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

+ Must have at least one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.

+ Must be at least 21 years of age.

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ A valid guard card or license is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
