SALARY RANGE:$24.00 - $30.50 per hour

DESCRIPTION:
The Data Liaison Specialist, working under the general direction of the Assistant Director of the Monroe RIC, will work with districts in the Monroe region acting as the central point of contact for staff and student data collection activities in the school district.
DUTIES:
1. Coordinate data collection and error resolution activities; coordinate activities and communication needed to ensure required data are reported accurately and on time.
2. Work collaboratively with district support staff, department or building administrators, and the district superintendent to disseminate information and reporting requirements.
3. Facilitate meetings with the district data teams; set expectations, assist district administration to define roles and responsibilities and provide ongoing support for the team.
4. Assist districts in meeting state data reporting requirements including but not exclusive to Accountability, Annual Professional Performance Reviews, BEDS Day Reporting, and Personnel Master File.
5. Secure the certification of the data by the school superintendent in accordance with the certification schedule set forth by the New York State Education Department.
6. Determine which data can be tracked and reported in specific data systems.
7. Assist district staff in understanding what reporting is available in each data system.
8. Create and disseminate data dashboards and reports to assist school district improvement initiatives and data analysis activities as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Civil Service eligibility asData Liaison Specialist: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma plus EITHER:
(A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience working with a database management system including the collection, storage, manipulation, and retrieval of records such as student or staffing records; OR
(B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an associate degree plus five (5) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience as stated in (A) above; OR
(C) Seven (7) years paid full-time, or its part-time equivalent experience as stated in (A) above; OR
(D) Any equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B), and (C) above.
2. Experience with multiple database environments preferred.
3. Knowledge of the K-12 management systems and other education related applications.
4. Experience with multiple database environments preferred.
5. Excellent organizational skills and ability to work with deadlines under pressure.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
7. Excellent communication skills within a collaborative environment.
8. Demonstrate exemplary customer service, including excellent phone and interpersonal relationship skills.
9. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive material appropriately.
10. Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
