    What's the role?

     

    As a Demand Planner you will lead the demand planning activities for assigned business divisions, ensuring timely and cost-effective inventory availability. This position converts demand predictions into purchase orders that align with budget limitations and supports operational efficiency through planning efforts. The position supports both tactical and strategic supply chain functions across the Puerto Rico and USVI regions

     

    How can you add value?

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    + Analyze forecasts and inventory levels to resolve and submit purchase requirements.

    + Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of inventory.

    + Partner with team members to maintain optimal inventory levels across the supply chain.

    + Enhance asset management practices to reduce aging inventory.

    + Continuously refined forecasting methods and tools.

    + Maintain documentation and SOPs for demand planning processes and systems.

    + Conduct forecasting analyses, adhering to established methodologies.

    + Compile and evaluate data relevant to forecasting (e.g., BOM, historical trends, seasonality, promotions, inventory levels).

    + Recommend adjustments to BOM, forecasts, and inventory targets based on project changes, market trends and demand shifts.

    + Report and communicate forecast accuracy and inventory performance to management.

    + Monitor inventory levels and propose rationalization strategies.

    + Track supplier performance against company standards.

    + Drive inventory across all locations, adjusting levels based on demand and project needs.

    + Oversee inventory movement approvals within the system.

    + Identify and mitigate risks related to overstock or understock situations.

    + Coordinate with Logistics to ensure product availability meets customer and project demands.

    + Monitor refurbishing plans to align with inventory requirements.

    + Support the Supply Chain Controller in monthly CAPEX analysis, long-range planning (LRP), and annual CAPEX budgeting.

    + Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings to capture and respond to forecast changes.

    + Write reports, collect, and enter data, lead continuous improvement initiatives, perform inventory counts.

    + Demonstrate and ensure compliance with the Customer First Philosophy, all Liberty PR and LLA policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct and Liberty safety standards and procedures.

    + Other functions that may be assigned.

     

    What do you need?

    Education and/or Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required Material Management, Accounting, or related field.

     

    2-5 years related Demand Planning, Inventory Management experience.

     

    Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP.

    Other Qualifications:

    + Expertise in demand management and forecasting tools across sales, marketing, finance, manufacturing, and supply chain functions.

    + Knowledge of materials and equipment used in telecommunications environment.

    + Understanding of supply chain metrics.

    + Strong analytical and data management skills, including proficiency in Excel.

    + Commitment to timely, high-quality service delivery.

    + Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships across multiple offices.

    + Strong customer-centric attitude
