    JOB SUMMARY: The department of Anthropology, Adelphi University, invites applications for an adjunct faculty position beginning in January 2026.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + While the geographic and research areas are open, the department seeks a candidate with experience teaching introductory Cultural Anthropology, Culture and Society, and/or a four field first year seminar course.

    + The candidate should be prepared to teach two sections a semester.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Minimum qualifications should include a Master’s degree in Anthropology

    + Applicants with or actively pursuing a Ph.D. are preferred.

    SALARY INFORMATION:

    In compliance with New York’s Pay Transparency Act, the salary for this position is $1,866 per credit.
