             Civil/Structural Engineer **Location:** Norton, MA **Job Type:** Full-time, on-site with hybrid flexibility and a flexible schedule **Pay Range:** $85,000 to $125,000+ depending on experience **Benefits:** Health insurance, employer-matched 401(k), accrued vacation time Job Summary Adecco Permanent Recruitment is partnering with a well-established company in the renewable energy and utility infrastructure sector to help them hire a **Civil/Structural Engineer** based in Norton, MA. This position supports the continued expansion of their in-house engineering team, with involvement in design, review, and field coordination of foundation, structural, and civil systems for solar and substation projects across the country. The role offers long-term career growth as part of a developing discipline within the organization. Key Responsibilities + Support the design and production of civil and structural drawings for renewable energy and substation projects. + Conduct load analysis (dead, live, wind, and seismic) and design structural elements such as beams, columns, slabs, and foundations. + Prepare and review calculations and reports related to grading, drainage, erosion control, stormwater management, and cut/fill volumes. + Review vendor designs and documentation, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and project specifications. + Coordinate closely with internal engineering, estimating, and field teams to ensure constructability and cost-effective designs. + Participate in value engineering, proposal preparation, and preconstruction support including quantity takeoffs and cost estimating. + Provide field support through site visits to confirm installation accuracy and adherence to design intent. + Contribute to ongoing development of civil and structural engineering standards, processes, and best practices.
