Job title: Electrical engineer
Seeking an electrical engineer skilled in PLCs and automation looking for a new exciting opportunity
Description
Join a team that supports a diverse array of industrial systems, from compact machinery to high-capacity thermal processing units. This role demands a strong foundation in automation, electrical diagnostics, and system integration across multiple platforms and technologies.
- Automation Systems Analysis: Evaluate and resolve issues within intricate automation frameworks, spanning everything from standalone devices to large-scale thermal systems.
- Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC): Utilize diagnostic tools and software to interpret and troubleshoot ladder logic and control sequences, particularly within Automation Direct environments.
- Machine Safety Compliance: Implement and verify protective systems using safety-rated components to ensure operational integrity and regulatory adherence.
- Thermal Processing Support: Apply electromagnetic theory to maintain and optimize induction-based heating systems, including melt furnaces and associated power modules.
- Motor Control Technologies: Configure and maintain variable frequency drives (VFDs), servo systems, and DC motor controllers from manufacturers such as ABB, Baldor, Bardac, and Control Techniques.
- Thermal Regulation Systems: Set up and debug temperature control units, with emphasis on programmable controllers like Eurotherm, ensuring precise thermal management.
- Sensor & Signal Integration: Work with various sensor types (e.g., K and J thermocouples), analog signal processing (millivolt, 4-20 mA, 0-10 VDC), and PID loops for accurate instrumentation feedback.
- Fluid Power Interfaces: Support electrically controlled hydraulic systems, including solenoid-actuated valves, motor-driven pumps, and integrated control circuits.
- Electrical Distribution: Operate across multiple voltage tiers, including 480V three-phase, 240V single-phase, 120V AC, and low-voltage DC systems.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide leadership and technical guidance to maintenance teams and engineering staff, fostering efficient problem-solving and system reliability.
