Superintendent

Job Description:

The Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day on-site management of utility and sitework construction projects. This role ensures that field

operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards. The Superintendent works closely with project managers, subcontractors, and field crews to maintain schedules, quality, and safety on all phases of construction, from mobilization through project closeout.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, including underground utilities, stormwater systems, and site development.

+ Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA 30 and other regulatory requirements.

+ Manage field crews and subcontractors to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.

+ Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and inspectors to resolve field issues and maintain project momentum.

+ Monitor daily progress, maintain site documentation, and report updates to project leadership.

+ Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications and standards.

+ Mentor and support field staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

+ 8+ years of experience in construction, with a focus on utility and sitework.

+ OSHA 30 certification.

+ Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, trenching, and underground utility installation.

+ Proven leadership and communication skills in managing field teams.

+ Experience in commercial, civil, and wastewater infrastructure construction.

+ Proficiency in reading blueprints and construction documents.

+ Familiarity with project management and field reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience with wastewater infrastructure (treatment, conveyance, or stormwater systems).

+ Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
