    Job Title: Lead Electrical Technician

    Job Description

    + Manage troubleshooting and support for electrical issues on production lines as well as facility equipment and infrastructure across the campus.

    + Conduct routine and advanced PLC program modifications through project upgrades and maintenance troubleshooting activities.

    + Develop new control systems for automation projects.

    Responsibilities

    + Understand and demonstrate safe work practices at all times to ensure a safe work environment.

    + Lead troubleshooting for equipment PLC programs to minimize downtime.

    + Create new PLC programs where necessary.

    + Design and implement control systems using sensors, motion control, and feedback loops.

    + Comply with all company policies and procedures.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Degree or at least 5 years of experience in electrical troubleshooting, PLC programming, or related fields.

    + Electrical troubleshooting for project add-ons and tweaks.

    + PLC programming, focusing on making tweaks rather than building from scratch.

    + Strong communication skills.

    + Ability to interpret and apply NEC, NFPA, and OSHA codes.

    + Familiarity with 3-phase electrical power applications.

    + Experience with RS500, RS5000, Studio5000, and View Studio.

    + Experience with servo motors and controls.

    + Demonstrated ability in PLC troubleshooting, interface, and programming.

    + Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + 4-year degree in Electrical Technology or Control Systems preferred.

    + 4-6 years of relevant electrical controls technician experience in manufacturing.

    + Ability to be a team player.

    + Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

    + Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and prints.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The role involves 80% manufacturing and 20% office environment, with no travel required.

     

    The position is for the night shift, operating on a 4 days on, 4 days off schedule.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    + This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, Missouri.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $36.05 - $43.27/hr.
