Job Title: Quality Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Engineer to lead the development and execution of comprehensive hardware quality assurance plans. This role involves designing, implementing, and overseeing testing protocols for hardware components and systems, conducting root cause analysis, and driving corrective actions to address quality issues. Collaboration with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams is essential to ensure quality standards are met throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and maintain quality documentation, including test plans, test reports, and inspection procedures.
+ Interface with outside vendors and suppliers to support product quality.
+ Refine a quality review process and sign-off with our Manufacturing CM.
+ Conduct sampling and testing of various components in the testing lab to ensure vendor compliance.
+ Drive RMA reviews, investigations, and testing data collection, sharing findings with the organization.
+ Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues.
+ Lead and sign off on the ECO process and design reviews.
+ Review engineering drawings and design change documentation for compliance with internal standards.
+ Participate in design reviews to provide quality input.
+ Participate in engineering sample builds and reviews to ensure objectives and success criteria are defined.
+ Lead Verification & Validation planning and execution of new feature and product version releases.
+ Ensure that defects and failures are identified and tracked to resolution using industry-standard defect tracking and resolution tools.
+ Support the design and implementation of test fixturing required for product testing.
+ Provide technical expertise and support during product development and launch.
+ Analyze data from various sources to identify trends and drive data-driven decision-making.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in hardware testing, quality engineering, and test engineering.
+ Proficient in writing test plans and protocols.
+ Strong skills in design verification, validation, and quality planning.
+ Ability to work independently and manage new product development.
+ Familiarity with test procedures, test planning, and design verification.
+ Experience with reliability plans and testing is preferred.
+ Competency in problem-solving tools/methods such as DOE, Fault trees, Fishbone, and 5 Whys.
+ Proficiency in risk management tools such as DFMEA/PFMEA.
+ Experience using PLM tools such as Omnify.
+ Strong knowledge of product development tollgate processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Electromechanical experience with product integration is a major plus.
+ Experience working at an automation provider or OEM of large similar equipment.
+ Experience in both large and small company environments.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $64.00/hr.
