Job Title: Civil Quality Assurance TechnicianJob Description
We are seeking dedicated Civil Quality Assurance (CQA) Technicians who will be responsible for traveling to various landfill sites to perform on-site documentation and recording of daily activities. The role includes verifying the accuracy and correctness of work done by general contractors, preparing daily reports, and attending daily meetings.
Responsibilities
+ Monitor and document construction activities at solid waste landfill facilities, including field inspection and testing of soils and geosynthetic liners.
+ Ensure overall compliance with all applicable project specifications and construction drawings.
+ Communicate effectively, demonstrate strong writing and organizational skills.
+ Work independently as well as in a team environment.
+ Receive on-site job training as necessary.
+ Travel is required, with expenses covered for out-of-town assignments.
+ Work could extend to 6-7 days per week with overtime anticipated during construction season.
+ Assignments may last 3-4 months with minimal home visits, working up to 20-30 hours of overtime weekly.
Essential Skills
+ Familiarity with construction specifications.
+ Ability to write daily/weekly reports.
+ Attention to detail.
+ Willingness to travel and be away from home for long periods.
+ Good communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Nuclear Gauge/density certification.
+ Landfill construction experience.
+ Associate's degree.
+ ACI Certification.
Work Environment
This position involves working outdoors at various landfill locations, requiring candidates to withstand extreme weather conditions (very hot in summer and very cold in winter). The workdays are typically 8-10 hours, mostly spent on one's feet. Travel is generally within Kentucky and some bordering states, with sites usually regional.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Frankfort, Kentucky.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
