    Job Title: Quality Engineer

     

    The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role focuses on analyzing, improving, and maintaining quality systems, investigating quality issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures.

    + Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.

    + Conduct internal audits and support external audits as required.

    + Oversee and perform inspections of materials, products, and processes to ensure compliance with specifications.

    + Develop and implement testing protocols and quality standards.

    + Investigate and resolve product quality issues by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.

    + Document and report on non-conformance issues and drive continuous improvement efforts.

    + Collaborate with suppliers to ensure material and component quality meets specifications.

    + Conduct supplier audits and assist in supplier development initiatives.

    + Lead quality improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.

    + Identify opportunities for process optimization to enhance efficiency and reduce defects.

    + Maintain accurate records of quality control processes, audits, and test results.

    + Prepare quality reports and present findings to management and stakeholders.

     

    Requirement Skills

     

    + 2 plus years as a Quality Engineer.

    + Bachelor's in Engineering or 5 plus years of Quality Engineering experience if no degree.

    + Strong understanding of quality systems, 5S methodologies, and tools such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.

    + ASQ CQE certification or equivalent experience.

    + Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes like 8D, Fishbone, and 5-Why.

    + Experience with PFMEA and statistical software such as SQC Pack or Minitab®.

    + Understanding of control plans and continuous improvement exposure.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Proficient in measurement, inspection, and testing methods, calibration.

    + Familiarity with government contracts (DOD).

    + Familiarity with regulatory compliance in relevant industries, such as FDA, AS9100, and IATF.

    + Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or medical device-regulated environments.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $46.00/hr.
