    Job Title: Engineering TechnicianJob Description

     

    As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for providing testing and inspection services, recording technical information, and supporting internal customers with technical support requests. You will be involved in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including creating customer sample submissions and maintaining an inventory of commonly required products and tools.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide testing and inspection services for various technical and mechanical parameters.

    + Record and document technical information, including dimensional, mechanical, and performance testing results.

    + Offer technical support to internal customers, including drawing and specification reviews with interpretations.

    + Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by creating customer sample submissions.

    + Maintain an inventory of commonly required products and tools such as test bolts, washers, mandrels, gages, and sockets.

    + Conduct primary testing procedures including hardness, microhardness, plating thickness (x-ray), torque-tension, prevailing torque, tensile testing, corrosion testing (salt spray), and surface roughness.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in troubleshooting and understanding GD&T, ISO standards.

    + Ability to interpret drawings, applicable test specifications, and dimensional layouts.

    + Knowledgeable in gage calibration and ATLA Laboratory experience.

    + Familiarity with Proficiency Testing, neutral salt spray, and sample preparation (cutting, mounting, polishing, etching).

    + Experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025:2017 standards.

    + Two-year degree in a related field or a minimum of five years of experience in a related field.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Proficient with metrology methods utilizing an array of inspection equipment.

    Work Environment

    You will work primarily in a lab environment attached to a distribution and office facility. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain mechanical lab experience across a variety of industries, including aerospace, automotive, heavy equipment, electronics, and defense. The work involves testing and distributing fasteners, electrical components, and stamped and molded parts.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Solon, Ohio.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $31.00/hr.
