Mid/ Senior Designer

Position Overview

We are seeking a Mid/ Senior -Level Design Engineer to lead technical design initiatives and optimize the throughput of customer design requests. This role combines hands-on CAD expertise, process improvement, and team collaboration to ensure high-quality deliverables and efficient workflows. You will play a key role in maintaining CAD standards, supporting design operations, and contributing to new product development.

Primary Responsibilities

Team & Workflow Management

+ Coordinate daily operations and prioritize design requests to meet deadlines

+ Help set performance standards, lead times, and metrics for design output

+ Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members

+ Participate in hiring decisions and assist with onboarding and training

+ Collaborate across departments to improve processes and resolve design-related issues

Technical Design & Standards

+ Create and review factory shop drawings for custom and new product designs

+ Maintain CAD block accuracy and design standards

+ Respond to client requests with consultation, scope of work, and material drawings

+ Manage software subscriptions and troubleshoot technical issues

+ Contribute to spec sheet creation and new product ideation

Required Skills & Experience

+ 5+ years of CAD design experience in a related industry

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and Inventor (3D)

+ Strong understanding of shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and design documentation

+ Familiarity with business tools such as NetSuite, Salesforce, Outlook, and Excel

+ Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions

+ Excellent time management and organizational skills

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Design-related field

+ Knowledge of construction, architectural, manufacturing, or mechanical design preferred

+ Willingness to travel to Denver for training or quarterly visits

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
