Job Title: Electrical Engineer II

Job Description

Join our team in the design and development of digital, analog, and RF circuits for cutting-edge Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) technology. You will perform electrical trade-offs for system design, conduct risk assessments, and participate in design reviews to ensure compliance with technical specifications and regulatory requirements within project timelines. Your role will also involve testing and debugging prototype circuit boards and systems to validate designs, producing technical documentation, and presenting findings in design reviews. Collaborate within a multidisciplinary engineering team to integrate electrical hardware systems with the overall ASW receiver architecture, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Responsibilities

+ Design and develop digital, analog, and RF circuits for ASW technology.

+ Perform electrical trade-offs, risk assessments, and design reviews.

+ Test and debug prototype circuit boards and systems.

+ Produce technical documentation and presentations for design reviews.

+ Collaborate within a multidisciplinary engineering team.

+ Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

+ Travel may be required.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.

+ 5+ years of engineering design experience.

+ Strong knowledge of analog circuit design, digital circuit design, power electronics, RF, and/or signal processing.

+ Experience with CAD software such as Altium Designer or Cadence for schematic capture.

+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

+ Ability to work independently and in a team.

+ Experience directing circuit board layout and providing layout requirements.

+ Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.

+ Experience with simulation and analysis tools such as SPICE, PSpice, LTspice, Simulink, LabVIEW.

+ Experience with RF components and RF design.

+ Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment.

+ Experience analyzing and debugging complex systems using test equipment.

+ Programming skills in MATLAB and C languages.

+ Experience with industry communication protocols.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic and collaborative environment that encourages innovation and teamwork. Utilize advanced technologies and equipment including oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers. Some travel may be required as part of the role.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Victor, NY

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
