Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

+ RN role in an oncology outpatient clinic.

+ 7.45 am to 5.15 pm with one set day off a week (working 4 out of 5 weekdays, no weekends).

+ 4-month contract role, permanent hire after.

Responsibilities

+ Assessments, triage, helping out where needed, administration work.

+ Communicate effectively with clinical team members, including physicians, through verbal and written documentation.

+ Coordinate discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

+ Apply collaborative teamwork and leadership as part of an inter-professional team to support quality outcomes in care processes.

+ Utilize information, resources, and technology to support patient-centered care processes.

+ Support evidence-based practices, safety initiatives, and process improvement strategies.

+ Exemplify professionalism through lifelong learning, contributing to the science of nursing, and sharing knowledge.

+ Participate in governance and uphold ethical, moral, and regulatory standards.

+ Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of nursing practice.

+ Maintain regular and reliable attendance as an essential function of this position.

Essential Skills

+ Associate's degree in Nursing or a diploma.

+ Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification. (BLS requirement is waived if certified in ACLS and PALS.)

+ Current Registered Nurse license to practice in Kansas.

+ Drug Test Required;

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ A bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.

+ Attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.49 - $45.74/hr.
