Overview:

This Engineer position requires a subject matter expert (SME) providing technical oversight for various structural and mechanical systems on the floating dry dock. The engineer will be required to develop a cohesive working relationship with utility system operators, maintenance personnel, and dock masters. The candidate must have knowledge of structural design, mechanical design, or naval architecture.

Description:

+ Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within assigned system(s).

+ Provide engineering resolutions for system problems/configuration changes.

+ Produce and/or oversee the development of technical documentation that govern the system design, configuration, and operation.

+ Provide in field technical support of maintenance and project teams.

+ Develop a long range strategic plan for improvements to assigned dock system(s).

+ Participate in the development of planned maintenance requirements.

+ Support resolution of unplanned events.

+ Develop and maintain critical system metrics.

+ Participate in project design and implementation process for system related projects.

+ Oversee project/system testing to ensure system meets technical requirements and operates at peak performance.

+ Support internal and external audits of the floating dry dock.

Qualifications:

+ BS Degree

+ 5 years of relevant experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
