    We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team in Grand Rapids. In this role, you will be pivotal in preparing detailed cost estimates during the preconstruction phase of commercial building projects. Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing architectural and engineering plans, performing material and quantity takeoffs, and collaborating with vendors and subcontractors to gather pricing information. You will be instrumental in creating accurate budgets and supporting the project team in planning and decision-making before construction commences. This position is perfect for a detail-oriented individual who excels with numbers and enjoys contributing to the early planning stages of building projects.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare detailed cost estimates during the preconstruction phase of commercial building projects.

    + Review architectural and engineering plans.

    + Perform material and quantity takeoffs.

    + Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to gather pricing.

    + Help create accurate budgets.

    + Support the project team in planning and decision-making before construction begins.

    Work Environment

    The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. While travel is not a regular part of the schedule, occasional visits to job sites may be required.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $48.08/hr.
