    Job Title: QA SpecialistJob Description

     

    The QA Specialist supports the Quality Assurance team by performing inspection, release, documentation review, and system updates related to raw materials. This role ensures compliance with GMP standards, internal procedures, and global quality requirements while supporting manufacturing and supply chain functions.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform raw material inspection and release activities in SAP.

    + Update batch data and maintain accurate SAP records.

    + Print and apply approved labels using Zebra printers.

    + Communicate with Procurement regarding rejected materials and follow up on disposition.

    + Review and approve SAP part number creation forms, risk assessments, change requests (CRs), raw material specifications, and BOMs.

    + Host weekly Raw Material Review Board meetings and ensure compliance with SOPs.

    + Coordinate with MSAT, warehouse, manufacturing, and QC on raw material priorities and vial transfers.

    + Serve as main SAP QA contact; troubleshoot and resolve raw material-related system or process issues.

    + Create and review Supplier Qualification Forms after checking the Global Approved Supplier List (ASL).

    + Scan and maintain QA documentation on SharePoint.

    + Support other QA functions and projects as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (Chemistry, Biology, or related discipline) or equivalent experience.

    + 2–5 years of QA experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or related regulated industry.

    + Hands-on experience with SAP (Quality Management module).

    + Strong understanding of GMP and regulatory compliance requirements.

    + Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

    + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Working knowledge of TrackWise, eDMS, and SharePoint preferred.

    Work Environment

    The work environment includes collaboration with cross-functional teams such as MSAT, warehouse, manufacturing, and QC. The role involves significant work with SAP and requires strong organizational and communication skills to ensure smooth operations and compliance with regulatory standards.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of San Francisco, California.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $46.00 - $50.00/hr.
