Job Title: Project ArchitectJob Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Architect with the ability to produce construction drawings using Revit. The ideal candidate will lead a project team of job captains and junior staff while working alongside a project manager. This role involves working on a variety of institutional projects, including municipal works, public works, educational, K-12, and higher education. The position also requires site visits when necessary and researching building codes, with involvement in projects from schematic design through design development and construction drawings.

Responsibilities

+ Lead project teams including job captains and junior staff alongside a project manager.

+ Produce detailed construction drawings using Revit.

+ Work on diverse institutional projects such as municipal, educational, and healthcare.

+ Conduct site visits as required.

+ Research and apply building codes.

+ Engage in all phases of projects from schematic design to design development and through construction drawings.

Essential Skills

+ 10-20 years of experience in architecture.

+ Licensed Architect or on licensure track.

+ Expert in producing construction documents using Revit.

+ Experience leading technical project teams.

+ Institutional project experience in healthcare, large-scale municipal, educational projects.

+ Proficiency in architectural design, drafting, and project management.

+ Knowledge of construction administration, zoning, and building codes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Proficiency with AutoCAD is a plus.

+ Degree in Architecture.

+ Excellent internal and external communication skills.

+ Experience with Sketchup and design development.

+ Experience with mixed-use projects and ground-up construction.

Work Environment

This position is based in a 50-person firm located in Hackensack, NJ. The firm operates across four studios—Healthcare, Education, Municipal, and Private—and resources are typically shared between studios. Initially, one remote workday is offered, with the potential for increased remote days after three months. The firm is known for working on large-scale projects, providing an engaging and dynamic work environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Hackensack, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
