Lead Superintendent
Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned Lead Superintendent with extensive experience in the field of concrete construction. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of superintendent experience, including at least 5 years in concrete construction. Experience with vertical post-tension concrete is highly desirable, though strong backgrounds in vertical concrete may also be considered. This role involves overseeing all field operations for self-perform concrete scopes on large-scale projects, ranging from $50 million to $150 million in total value, with concrete packages between $5 million and $20 million.
Responsibilities
+ Oversee mobilization, formwork, and lift coordination for concrete projects.
+ Manage logistics, safety, labor, and subcontractor activities.
+ Coordinate project scheduling and ensure quality control.
+ Execute full project completion through closeout, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
+ Plan and sequence concrete work, managing schedules, and coordinating with other trades.
+ Monitor labor productivity, site logistics, and material/equipment usage.
+ Conduct daily inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and safety protocols.
+ Lead safety meetings, morning huddles, and quality control checks.
+ Review drawings, RFIs, submittals, and maintain project documentation.
+ Mentor crew members, resolve conflicts, and support project budget and schedule management.
+ Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and inspectors.
Essential Skills
+ 15+ years of superintendent experience.
+ 5+ years of experience in concrete construction.
+ Strong carpentry and layout skills.
+ Leadership abilities and knowledge of construction practices and safety regulations.
+ Thorough understanding of construction practices, techniques, and building codes.
+ Knowledge of construction cost control and basic accounting procedures.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, and Autodesk.
+ Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with vertical post-tension concrete is highly desirable.
+ Experience in multifamily projects is preferred.
Work Environment
The role is primarily focused on residential projects with some commercial work. Active projects are located in Vail, Telluride, and the Denver Tech Center. The company handles approximately $425 million in projects annually, including several projects over $100 million. The initial project assignment will be the Bellview Apartments in the DTC, valued at $135 million with a $14 million concrete package. The company emphasizes a 'work hard, play hard' culture with a strong focus on teamwork and career development. Benefits include monthly training sessions, team-building events, and a comprehensive holiday/PTO package. Bonus eligibility is available after one year of full-time employment. Upon full-time employment, a truck is provided, with a $750/month car allowance during the 6-month contract. Equipment provided includes an iPhone, iPad, and computer.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.67 - $57.69/hr.
