Software Engineer!

Job Description

The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting software systems and applications using MATLAB/Simulink. This role involves developing software requirements, translating vehicle-level requirements into software requirements, and developing software to control vehicle hardware. The successful candidate will collaborate with international teams to ensure efficient software and systems operation.

Responsibilities

+ Design and develop software systems and applications using MATLAB/Simulink.

+ Test and troubleshoot software systems to ensure optimal performance.

+ Develop and build software requirements from scratch.

+ Translate vehicle-level requirements into detailed software requirements.

+ Collaborate with international teams to ensure software and systems operate efficiently.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink.

+ Experience in the automotive industry.

+ Ability to manage and build software requirements.

+ Proficiency in C programming and using GitHub.

+ 5+ years of software engineering experience in the automotive industry.

+ 3+ years of hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

+ Experience with electric vehicle technology.

Work Environment

The Software Engineer will join a growing team that currently consists of 3 local members, expected to expand to 10 by the end of the year. This role involves collaboration with an offshore third-party development team based in China, which is responsible for a significant portion of the development. The work environment offers an opportunity to be part of the initial phase of Software Developers and actively contribute to the 2027 product launch.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Riverside, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
