    Join a dedicated team as a Medical Assistant at an Urgent Care Facility. You will play a vital role in supporting patient care and ensuring smooth operations within the healthcare environment. This position offers a temporary coverage opportunity, ranging from 3 to 6 months, with the potential for an enriching and fulfilling experience.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist with back office duties in an urgent care setting.

    + Check in and check out patients efficiently.

    + Monitor and record patient vitals.

    + Log information into the EMR/EHR system, specifically NexGen.

    + Verify patient insurance details accurately.

    + Cover the front desk when the receptionist is on lunch break.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in appointment scheduling and patient care.

    + Experience in working with electronic health records, particularly NexGen.

    + 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.

    + Ability to handle both back office and some front office responsibilities.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with phlebotomy is a plus but not required.

    + Bilingual in Spanish is highly desirable.

    + Certification in CPT is advantageous.

    Work Environment

    The position is based at an Urgent Care Facility operating from 10:30 am to 11:00 pm, scheduled for three days per week, including weekends. The role requires openness to an Alternative Work Schedule (AWS) of three 12-hour shifts. You will be part of an inspiring team within one of the largest physician-led networks in Southern California, committed to providing quality healthcare.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Covina, California.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
