Position Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
+ Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement effective repairs to minimize operational interruptions.
+ Maintain conveyors, loaders, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and other bulk-handling equipment.
+ Examines protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices on equipment, and makes adjustments
+ As directed performs activities of co-workers
+ Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments safely and effectively.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
+ Work collaboratively with operations and engineering teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
+ Maintain accurate maintenance records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
+ Always Adhere to Kinder Morgans safety policies and environmental compliance standards.
+ Participate in emergency response and on-call rotation as needed.
Position Requirements
Required:
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a bulk terminal, port, refinery, or manufacturing environment.
+ Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
+ Proficiency with hand tools, welding, fabrication, and basic electrical systems.
+ Ability to work in outdoor and industrial environments (heat, cold, noise, dust).
+ Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
+ Valid drivers license and the ability to pass background, drug, and physical screening.
+ Must be able to obtain a TWIC card.
+ In order to appropriately perform essential duties of this job, regular work attendance is required.
+ Ability to carry out supervision/direction and work effectively and cooperatively with other people.
+ Must be able to successfully work with minimal direct supervision
+ Ability to communicate effectively
+ Must possess understanding of bulk handling operations/equipment
+ Understanding of diagnosing heavy equipment (D10 Dozer, Front End Loader, Excavator, etc.)
+ Understanding the maintenance of excavators, forklifts, loaders, dozers, etc.
+ Trouble shooting hydraulic and pneumatic repair on heavy equipment
