Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations within our facility. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless functioning of equipment and adherence to safety standards, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.

Responsibilities

+ Maintain equipment files, inventory, and oversee the procurement of parts and supplies.

+ Coordinate with external vendors for fabricated components and repairs.

+ Ensure timely preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.

+ Generate and assign work orders, determine repair procedures, and document results.

+ Administer CMMS system (Maintain X), approve PMs and work orders, and train users.

+ Maintain inventory control systems and regulatory documentation.

+ Enforce GMP, OSHA, and internal safety standards.

+ Communicate safety issues and corrective actions to staff and management.

+ Ensure safe operation of equipment and proper handling of chemicals and materials.

+ Support emergency response and assist mechanics as needed.

+ Select, train, and develop a qualified maintenance workforce.

+ Monitor productivity and implement improvements.

+ Conduct disciplinary actions when necessary.

+ Ensure completion and accuracy of all work orders and PMs.

+ Support a clean, efficient, and safety-focused facility environment.

Essential Skills

+ Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills across production and warehouse equipment.

+ Proficient in welding, hand tools, power tools, and forklift operation (stand-up and sit-down).

+ Ability to read schematics, follow directions, and perform accurate data entry.

+ Math proficiency (add, multiply, divide in units of measure).

+ Excellent verbal communication and problem-solving skills.

+ Familiarity with CMMS platforms and inventory systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a plant or manufacturing setting.

+ At least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.

+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

+ Experience in food or bakery manufacturing strongly preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment is a standard warehouse setting with exposure to noise, humidity, and temperature changes. The role may involve outdoor maintenance tasks and working with products that may contain peanuts and tree nuts. Frequent physical activity is required, including lifting up to 75 lbs, climbing, kneeling, bending, and operating machinery.

This is a Permanent position based out of East Brunswick, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
