Description We are looking for a knowledgeable and resourceful Systems Administrator to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing system infrastructure while ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys problem-solving, and is eager to contribute to a collaborative IT environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers, ensuring systems are updated and performing efficiently.

• Monitor system performance metrics to guarantee reliability and availability.

• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, and user account permissions.

• Execute regular backups and oversee disaster recovery planning and testing.

• Support network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, VPNs, and cabling.

• Collaborate with IT teams to diagnose and resolve technical challenges.

• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.

• Implement security measures to safeguard systems and data.

• Evaluate and deploy updates or patches to ensure compliance and security.

• Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed. Requirements • At least 3 years of experience in system administration or a similar IT role.

• Proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization tools such as VMware or Hyper-V.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS is preferred.

• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash and automation tools.

• Strong understanding of network administration, including firewalls and VPNs.

• Excellent analytical and communication skills to address technical issues effectively.

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft, or Cisco are advantageous.
