    Description

    Robert Half Legal Permanent Placement is seeking a Legal Assistant for their midsized Hartford law firm client in the Trusts & Estates Department. This role provides high-level administrative support to the department chair and works closely with a collaborative team of attorneys and paralegals. In-office 5 days a week.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and maintain client contact information.

    + Prepare attorneys for meetings by organizing files and documents.

    + Track deadlines and ensure timely communication with clients.

    + Draft initial estate planning documents (wills, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, trusts) for attorney review.

    + Open, close, and maintain client files.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    + 3–5 years of administrative or executive assistant experience (legal experience preferred but not required).

    + Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

    + Excellent communication skills and ability to build client relationships.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

    + Open to recent college graduates with exceptional organizational abilities.
