Description

We are looking for a dedicated Controller to join our team in Lexington, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will oversee financial operations, manage a small team, and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting processes. This role requires a strong leader who is approachable, detail-oriented, and experienced in either construction or manufacturing industries.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and provide guidance to a team of four people.

• Oversee job costing, scheduling, and related financial processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

• Maintain and manage document control processes, including document scanning and compilation.

• Provide timely and accurate financial reports to support decision-making.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address financial inquiries and ensure compliance with company policies.

• Monitor and improve accounting systems and processes to enhance performance.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and company requirements in all financial operations.

• Facilitate the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction or efficiency improvements.

Requirements • Proven experience in a Controller or similar financial management role.

• Background in construction or manufacturing industries is highly preferred.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a small team effectively.

• Proficiency in document control, including scanning and organizing financial documents.

• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Familiarity with job costing and scheduling processes.

• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial team members.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
