Description We are looking for a skilled Cost Accounting Manager to join our team in East Bernstadt, Kentucky. This role is critical in overseeing cost accounting functions, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and provide actionable insights.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage daily, weekly, and monthly reports on operational metrics, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of reporting processes.

• Oversee the budgeting process for standard costs, including cost evaluations, rollouts, and ongoing performance analysis.

• Analyze and report on cost variances, investigating discrepancies and identifying their root causes.

• Assist in month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts with complete supporting documentation.

• Develop and maintain inventory and cost accounting records, ensuring all entries and reconciliations are accurate.

• Provide financial insights to both Finance and Operations teams, supporting policy development and improving plant financial operations.

• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance the quality and reliability of financial data.

• Partner with Plant Management to monitor operational efficiencies and report on plant results, acting as a financial advisor for the team.

• Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain teams to identify and address inventory risks, such as obsolescence, and manage disposals in compliance with company policies.

• Conduct financial analyses to evaluate the impact of improvement initiatives on cost structures and overall financial outcomes. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• In-depth knowledge of standard cost accounting principles and practices.

• Proven expertise in manufacturing cost accounting and cost analysis.

• Strong understanding of cost variance analysis and inventory management.

• Proficiency in preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations and supply chain departments.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.

• Willingness to engage with production teams and spend time on the factory floor to understand operational processes.
