Description

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This is a contract-to-hire position, offering the opportunity to transition into a long-term role based on performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills and a solid understanding of financial principles, with experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and journal entries. This role requires working fully onsite, with flexibility in scheduling.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness.

• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain an up-to-date and accurate general ledger.

• Oversee full-cycle payroll processing, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and deadlines.

• Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns and sales tax documentation.

• Reconcile financial statements and accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy.

• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including financial reporting.

• Monitor and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address financial discrepancies and resolve issues.

• Perform audits and reviews to verify data integrity and fiscal accountability.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• At least 3 years of experience in accounting with a focus on detail and accuracy.

• Proficiency in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.

• Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger maintenance.

• Experience with corporate tax return preparation and sales tax filings.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and applicable regulations.
