    Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic

     

    Pay: $30-45

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled heavy equipment mechanic with 2-3 years of experience to join our expanding team in Maine. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing trucks and other heavy equipment. An active CDL is a plus and may result in higher compensation due to the ability to drive the trucks. The position operates on a Monday to Friday, first shift schedule, with a $3.00 per hour shift differential for the night shift.

    Responsibilities

    + Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair trucks and heavy equipment.

    + Perform diagnostics and preventative maintenance regularly.

    + Work closely with dealership standards for maintenance and repair.

    + Utilize skills in diesel engines, hydraulics, and heavy equipment repair.

    Essential Skills

    + 2-3 years of experience as a mechanic.

    + 1-2 years of in-shop mechanic work.

    + Experience in diesel engines and troubleshooting.

    + Understanding of preventive maintenance and hydraulics.

    + Active CDL is advantageous.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with Caterpillar equipment is beneficial.

    + Prior work experience at a dealership is a plus.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment includes a mechanic shop setting or outdoor locations. The position operates during first shift hours, Monday through Friday, with opportunities for night shifts that offer a shift differential.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, Maine.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $52.00/hr.
