    Job Title: Stores Attendant-B

    Job Description

    This position is located near Charleston, WV. Candidates will be responsible for inventory management and material handling, operating in both indoor and outdoor environments. The role involves traveling in a company vehicle and requires a valid driver's license along with an MVR. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with flexibility as needed.

    Responsibilities

    + Issue material under proper authorization and maintain required records.

    + Pick up, haul, and deliver materials using company vehicles.

    + Check received materials for quantity and quality and process related records.

    + Report irregularities and abnormal conditions.

    + Identify, sort, and record returned materials, placing usable items in stock and sorting non-usable items into scrap containers.

    + Operate computer terminals and printers for materials management and other office equipment.

    + Prepare and pack materials for shipment or storage, adhering to safety and environmental procedures.

    + Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, hoists, and cranes.

    + Assist supervisor in maintaining efficient storage of materials and inventory levels.

    + Perform inventory cycle counts and process discrepancy adjustments.

    + Assist other employees of equal or higher classification.

    + Perform duties according to company safety rules and operating regulations.

    Essential Skills

    + High School Diploma or GED.

    + Minimum of one year of work experience in inventory control, material handling, or warehousing.

    + Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.

    + Knowledge of logistics related to shipping and relocating inventory.

    + Ability to perform basic math functions.

    + Good communication skills.

    + Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and pass the Physical Ability Test (PAT).

    + State driver's license required, CDL must be obtained within six months if applicable.

    + Experience operating material handling equipment, including forklifts and road vehicles.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Forklift and material handling experience is a plus.

    + Construction and energy background is advantageous.

    + Light knowledge of MS Office Suite is beneficial.

    + Heavy equipment operation experience is preferred but training is available.

    Work Environment

     

    The position is primarily outdoors in a laydown yard where candidates will load and unload trucks. Work is conducted Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with breaks included. The work involves both team collaboration and independent tasks, often under varying weather conditions. The dress code requires steel toe boots, jeans or long pants, and a T-shirt without inappropriate images or text. PPE is provided, but candidates must supply their own side shields if wearing glasses.

    This is a Contract position based out of Charleston, West Virginia.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
