Job Title: 1st Shift Press Brake Operator

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Press Brake Operators for the 1st shift to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of CNC Press Brakes used to form sheet metal parts for product assembly. You will maintain a clean workstation, utilize hand and power tools, troubleshoot machine issues, and conduct quality inspections on finished parts.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate CNC Press Brakes to form sheet metal parts.

+ Maintain a clean and organized workstation.

+ Utilize basic hand and power tools as necessary.

+ Troubleshoot basic machine issues.

+ Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).

+ Perform quality inspections on finished parts.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in machine operation, specifically with CNC Press Brakes.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Familiarity with fabrication and sheet metal processes.

+ Experience with assembly and use of lathes and mills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous machine operating experience is required.

+ Ability to meet attendance requirements.

+ Comfortable working 10-hour shifts.

+ Ability to lift 35+ lbs.

+ Reliable transportation.

+ Ability to work well in a team environment.

Work Environment

This position is in a manufacturing setting with 50-60 people on the first shift and half of that on the second. You will work with metal parts and cast iron, requiring you to be on your feet. The dress code includes steel-toed shoes and long pants.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Gorham, Maine.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
