    Job Title: Welder

    Job Description

    Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture products according to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction. Utilize welding equipment to make repairs to discontinuities of submerged arc weld seams on steel pipes.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations.

    + Utilize welding equipment to repair discontinuities of submerged arc weld seams on steel pipes.

    + Ensure product meets customer drawings and specifications.

    + Maintain welding equipment and perform necessary maintenance.

    + Use conventional and precision measuring instruments for process inspection and certification.

    + Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools.

    + Utilize various hand tools and equipment.

    + Ensure safety and housekeeping standards are met.

    + Complete other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficient in assigned welding techniques.

    + Working knowledge of fixtures and weld set-up parameters (amps, volts, etc.).

    + Experience with conventional and precision measuring instruments.

    + Ability to utilize mobile device applications and programs.

    + One-year experience in various forms of welding.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Successful completion of an internal welding test.

    + Experience in MIG welding, flux core, and dual shield techniques.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    + Experience in fitting, production, assembly, and working with sheet metal.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a non-climate-controlled environment that can be dirty. Shifts are Monday to Thursday, with potential mandatory work on Fridays. Shifts are from 5am-3:30pm or 3pm-1:30am, with a weekend shift from 5am-5:30pm where you work 36 hours but are paid for 40. Employees must wear steel toe boots and sleeved shirts, and a welding hood. Protective gear like a hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, and protective gloves are provided by the company.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Charles, Missouri.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $49920.00/yr.
