    Job Description

    This role involves the operational management and effective daily leadership and administration of the engineering team. The primary objective is to safely, efficiently, and effectively operate machinery and systems in a cost-effective manner. The role requires a commitment to achieving 100% uptime throughout the engineering team and involves protecting and improving the value of the client's assets by ensuring that building engineering systems continue to perform their intended functions.

    Responsibilities

    + Monitor and maintain refrigeration, water cooling, and air conditioning equipment, boilers, heating, ventilating, and hot water equipment, pumps, valves, piping, and filters.

    + Oversee repair and preventative maintenance of HVAC systems and determine frequency of these activities.

    + Maintain an adequate inventory of tools and supplies to operate the building.

    + Oversee the activities of contractors working within the building.

    + Identify and remediate safety hazards within the building to ensure a safe environment for staff and occupants.

    + Implement, administer, and manage a safety training program.

    + Ensure compliance with all regulatory laws and guidelines related to building operations.

    + Maintain all infrastructure and compliance documentation for the building.

    + Supervise and manage engineers and maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and personal development.

    + Ensure the CFWA Critical Facility Work Authorization process is understood by staff, tenants, and contractors.

    + Provide training and support to expand the capabilities of the operations staff.

    Essential Skills

    + Associate Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent work experience.

    + 7 years of facility-related work experience, including customer service, leadership, and supervisory experience.

    + Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance processes.

    + Understanding of construction planning and execution.

    + Exposure to HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid filtering, mechanical systems, welding, and electrical systems engineering and operation.

    + Experience with technology, including CMMS and Microsoft Office 365.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Certification as a Universal Technician for CFCs or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

    + Operating Engineers license (SMA) or equivalent.

    + Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.

    + Strong record of excellent internal and external customer service.

    Work Environment

     

    The position primarily operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm, with some flexibility. One week per month will require working a second shift.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of El Paso, Texas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
