Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Denver, Colorado. This is a contract, position where you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial operations of a mission-driven organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and a passion for contributing to meaningful work.

Responsibilities:

• Handle daily accounting tasks, including processing accounts payable and receivable, data entry, and bank reconciliations.

• Process invoices, expense reports, and payments accurately and in a timely manner.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for both internal and external use.

• Maintain well-organized financial records and ensure all documentation complies with auditing standards.

• Communicate effectively with vendors, donors, and internal teams to address and resolve financial inquiries or discrepancies.

• Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed to ensure smooth operations.

• Utilize accounting software to manage financial data, with training provided for Yardi if required.

• Ensure all financial activities adhere to confidentiality standards and organizational policies.

Requirements • Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field.

• Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Yardi is a bonus but not mandatory.

• Strong organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail.

• Competence in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

• Availability to work onsite during scheduled part-time hours.

• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and external contacts.
