    Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Contract Order Management / Production Planning Specialist to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for evaluating customer demand, maintaining production schedules, and ensuring timely and accurate order processing in an EDI/MRP/ERP environment. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

    Requirements

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Evaluate customer demand and maintain production schedules to meet requirements

    + Collaborate with purchasing and sales teams to address demand changes, material shortages, and updates

    + Adapt to changing customer needs and coordinate with manufacturing to establish ship dates

    + Communicate facility performance metrics including on-time delivery and expedited freight

    + Review and prioritize unscheduled work orders in Virtual Factory

    + Print, review, and distribute work orders for kitting

    + Review and sign off on engineering change notifications

    + Coordinate with quality team to release work orders

    + Monitor daily production schedules and ensure kitting is complete

    + Maintain and resolve work order shortages with inventory coordinator

    + Work with sales to schedule hot orders and meet urgent customer demands

    + Collaborate with floor supervisors to ensure workflow and resolve issues

    + Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports as directed

    + Maintain accurate and organized resident files

    + Perform other duties as assigned
