    Job Title: Bakery Operator

    Job Description

    The Bakery Operator is responsible for operating various pieces of equipment involved in the production and packaging processes. This role involves coordinating a team of Bakery associates to support the production line and ensuring all operations align with safety and quality standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure adherence to all safety, GMP, and quality policies and regulations.

    + Monitor product quality and ensure product specifications are met.

    + Assist with training and cross-training initiatives.

    + Provide break rotations and lunch coverage for employees as needed.

    + Continuously improve knowledge of all products and production requirements.

    + Maintain cleanliness of equipment and workspace during and after production runs.

    + Monitor finished product quality to eliminate defects and enhance throughput.

    + Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to resolve challenges and improve operational efficiencies.

    + Perform routine safety checks to maintain a safe working environment.

    Essential Skills

    + High School Diploma or GED

    + Must be 18 years or older

    + Basic English proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs continuously throughout the day

    + Capability to push/pull up to 50 lbs continuously throughout the day

    + Ability to stand for 8–12 hours per shift

    + Experience in a food manufacturing or related environment (minimum 1 year)

    + Familiarity with food processing and packaging equipment

    + High mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills

    + Understanding of GMPs, Food Safety, and Company Safety policies

    + Effective communication and basic math skills

    + Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to work overtime and weekends if needed

    + Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching

    + Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures and noise levels

    + Must wear non-slip safety shoes

    + Must follow all PPE and GMP guidelines

    The work environment is a fast-paced manufacturing setting adhering to GMP standards. It can be very hot and loud, requiring adherence to safety protocols. Employees are expected to wear appropriate attire including non-slip safety shoes.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, California.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $22.75/hr.
