Job Description

We are seeking an efficient and detail-oriented Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling various components into finished products according to specifications, blueprints, or work orders. Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are crucial for success in this high-growth company.

Responsibilities

+ Follow safety protocols and procedures, including wearing safety shoes, glasses, and ear protection.

+ Use all tools safely and maintain a clean and tidy work area.

+ Read diagrams and schematics to ensure accurate assembly.

+ Ensure the quality of the structure by checking products for level and square.

+ Pay attention to detail when checking components like corner posts, roofs, and covers for damages such as dents and scratches.

+ Use torque wrenches to torque bolts to the required specification.

+ Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with the team.

+ Understand manufacturing information such as front views, bill of materials, drawings, and blueprints.

+ Solve problems using oral or written instructions to assemble switchboards and panelboards, identifying missing components proactively.

+ Utilize various hand tools to install material accurately by closely following established procedures.

+ Communicate progress of jobs and identify problem areas or part shortages.

+ Identify opportunities for process improvement and conduct root cause analysis for quality or production issues.

+ Be responsible for quality, including visual inspections of material before and after assembly, identifying nonconforming parts, and troubleshooting errors.

+ Assemble copper bussing according to design, ensuring correct spacing from phase to phase and ground.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to work with concentration, accuracy, and attention to detail.

+ Capability to work independently and cooperatively with others.

+ Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

+ Proficiency with computers and CAD software to follow design structures.

+ Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

+ Ability to multitask, establish work priorities, and manage time efficiently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ Previous experience working as an Assembler in a manufacturing environment.

+ Familiarity with assembly tools and techniques.

Work Environment

Work in a brand new facility with approximately 200-250 people on-site once at full capacity. You'll be required to wear steel-toed boots and safety glasses, which are provided, as well as long pants and long sleeves or cut-resistant sleeves supplied by the company. The manufacturing floor environment includes exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures. The position requires standing or walking for long periods and occasionally lifting up to 25–50 lbs. Work is on a rotating shift of 2-2-3, from 6 am to 6 pm, with initial training conducted during a standard Monday - Friday schedule.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
