Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and repair of cGMP production and facilities equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in the pharmaceutical industry, experience with 480V systems, and a basic understanding of calibration. You will work in a highly regulated environment, handling both planned maintenance tasks and any immediate equipment or facility issues.

Responsibilities

+ Perform skilled maintenance and repair of cGMP production and facilities equipment.

+ Safely troubleshoot production equipment and perform basic circuit measurements with voltages up to 480VAC 3 phase systems.

+ Troubleshoot to component level and read schematics and technical manuals for complex issues.

+ Order required mechanical and electrical parts from approved vendors and recommend purchase of maintenance tools and equipment.

+ Conduct day-to-day planned maintenance tasks and support outside contractor activities.

+ Participate in Environmental Health and Safety program requirements.

+ Complete corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance tasks per SOPs using diagrams, sketches, and engineering specifications.

+ Inspect and repair pumps, fans, mechanical drives, seals, and replace components as needed.

+ Perform planned maintenance of Utilities and Pharmaceutical Process equipment, including Tablet Presses, Granulators, and HVAC systems.

+ Perform basic calibrations of pressure and temperature devices, and coordinate with outside vendors for complex systems.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with troubleshooting, electrical, and maintenance technician roles.

+ Proficiency in preventive maintenance, industrial troubleshooting, and repair.

+ Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, pneumatics, and HVAC.

+ Experience with 3 phase systems and maintenance repair.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High School Diploma or an Associate’s Degree.

+ 3-5 years of related experience, or 2 years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.

+ Strong communication and collaboration skills.

+ Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

+ Basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.

+ Proficiency in multiple competencies and working independently within established procedures.

Work Environment

The position requires working a shift from 7am to 3:30pm. Candidates must be accessible to all laboratory, manufacturing, and office areas, and able to wear the required PPE for processing areas. Specific vision requirements include reading documents and using a computer. The role involves sitting or standing for prolonged periods and occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cranbury, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $38.00/hr.
