Job Title: Cook II
Job Description
The Cook II will accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and procedures.
+ Portion and present meals attractively for all service periods.
+ Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events.
+ Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
+ Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure food safety and quality.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in food preparation and cooking techniques.
+ Knowledge of foodservice and food handling standards.
+ Ability to prepare meals efficiently and accurately.
+ Experience with hospitality and food delivery.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Flexible with working hours, including early mornings and varied shifts.
+ Experience in a hospital or similar environment is a plus.

Work Environment
Work in a hospital setting that is clean and climate-controlled. Adhere to a professional dress code that includes black pants (no jeans), a black shirt, and slip-resistant shoes. The team consists of approximately 180 housekeepers, and the work schedule includes early morning shifts from 4:30 am to 12:00 pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with varied times on Tuesday and Thursday.

This is a Contract position based out of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.92 - $19.92/hr.
