Job Title: Production Line Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Production Line Operator responsible for conducting production activities needed to manufacture conductive materials such as metal-plated fibers or coated non-woven materials. This role demands a meticulous approach to safety and precision while handling both large and small volume chemical transfers, preparing chemical solutions, inspecting raw materials, and testing in-process and finished materials.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct large and small volume chemical transfers.
+ Prepare chemical solutions and inspect raw materials.
+ Test in-process and finished materials, and record data.
+ Label and package finished goods.
+ Handle hazardous materials, including spill clean-up, following established safety procedures.
+ Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
+ Participate in environmental health and safety programs as assigned.
+ Work with production and maintenance teams to optimize operational efficiency.
+ Assist in training new operators in accordance with facility practices.
Essential Skills
+ Manufacturing or chemical handling experience.
+ Attention to detail.
+ Safety consciousness.
+ Ability to use a respirator.
+ Ability to work independently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ At least 6 months to a year of manufacturing or chemical handling experience.
+ US citizenship.
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Effective communication skills.
+ Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
+ Enthusiasm and initiative to develop and maintain robust, repeatable, and safe manufacturing processes.
+ Compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory agencies (e.g. OSHA, EPA, DEC).

Work Environment
The work schedule is from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Our site fosters a family atmosphere, emphasizing teamwork and long-term employee retention.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Schenectady, New York.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
