Job Title: Production Associate
Job Description
The Production Associate will be responsible for pulling ingredients and precisely measuring them for the mixing process. This role involves reading batch sheets, gathering necessary ingredients using a push cart, and ensuring the accuracy of product numbers, descriptions, and bin locations. The associate will deliver ingredients to the mixing station, prepare batches, and use various tools such as digital scales and measuring cups to achieve exact measurements. Additional tasks include sealing bulk containers, restocking shelves, assisting in mixing, and maintaining cleanliness in the work area.
Responsibilities
+ Pull and measure ingredients accurately for the mixing process.
+ Read and interpret batch sheets for various products.
+ Use a push cart to collect and transport ingredients.
+ Ensure bin locations, product numbers, and descriptions match.
+ Prepare and weigh ingredients using digital scales and measuring tools.
+ Seal and return bulk containers to their designated shelves.
+ Perform supplemental tasks such as restocking and cleaning equipment.
+ Follow all company rules, including OSHA and Food Safety policies.
+ Produce high-quality, safe products for pets and meet production objectives.
+ Clean and sanitize assigned facility areas following food safety procedures.
+ Ensure FIFO is followed correctly on all raw materials.
+ Accurately complete production records and documents.
+ Communicate effectively with team members and managers.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to weigh and measure products accurately.
+ Attention to detail and accuracy in following procedures.
+ Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds repetitively.
+ Knowledge of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and GMPs.
+ Basic math skills including converting kilos to pounds.
+ Experience in cleaning, batching, mixing, and inventory control.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in a warehouse or production environment.
+ Familiarity with food safety procedures and contamination prevention.
+ Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
+ Team-oriented mindset and willingness to help in various areas.

Work Environment
The work environment includes exposure to various smells such as Brewer’s Yeast, Chicken, Beef, and Pork. The facility operates on a 1st shift with three mixers running throughout. Employees must wear pants, t-shirts, closed-toe non-slip shoes, and adhere to GMP requirements like wearing hair and beard nets. A shift supervisor and a senior production worker will assist in training. Non-slip shoes are required to be kept at work to maintain cleanliness in the production area.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Earl, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
