Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Join our team as a Maintenance Technician on the day shift, where you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, efficiency, and effective operations of all plant equipment and machinery through repairs and modifications to equipment and the facility. This role requires a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
+ Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment.
+ Perform preventive maintenance routines on all equipment.
+ Assist in other areas of plant maintenance as needed.
+ Follow and strictly adhere to company policies and safety rules, making sound decisions concerning daily maintenance activities.
+ Use maintenance software to check for assigned work, complete work orders, write work orders, and document time.
Essential Skills
+ Two-year Vocational Certificate in Maintenance or two years of maintenance/mechanical work experience.
+ Two or more years of experience in a production environment.
+ Strong electrical aptitude.
+ Experience with industrial electrical controls.
+ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical problems with appropriate test equipment and one-line diagrams and schematics.
+ Knowledge of motors and motor controls.
+ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems with gearboxes, chains/sprockets alignment, and pneumatic systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
+ Able to participate on the company’s HazMat Team.
+ Able to work weekends.
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.

Work Environment
Work in a cool environment, especially cooler if you are in the refrigeration section. The role is based on the 1st shift: 6am-4:30pm (Monday-Thursday) and every other weekend. The physical demands include the ability to lift and pull up to 40 pounds and perform tasks in awkward positions, including kneeling and crouching.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00/hr.
