Job Title: 1st Shift - Wire Mesh Worker

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker for our 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. This role offers the opportunity to work in various departments, including the Wire Department, where you will handle steel wire roping, unloading it from trucks, storing it for future production, and braiding it into specific customer requests. Additionally, you will operate industrial sewing machines to stitch straps of varying lengths and thicknesses, following specific work order patterns. Training for this role is comprehensive, lasting up to six months, though you will work independently after approximately four weeks.

Responsibilities

+ Handle steel wire roping, unloading from trucks and storing for future production.

+ Braid steel wire rope according to specific customer requests, utilizing hand, wrist, and arm strength.

+ Operate industrial sewing machines to stitch straps in various lengths and thicknesses.

+ Follow specific stitch patterns based on work orders.

+ Ensure safety and quality standards are maintained throughout the production process.

Essential Skills

+ Experience as a laborer, material handler, or machine operator.

+ Proficiency in industrial sewing and sewing machine operation.

+ Background in general production and machine operation.

+ Ability to perform packaging and inspection tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous production experience is beneficial.

+ Manufacturing background is advantageous.

+ Skills in assembly, picking, and packing.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Landisville, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $17.25/hr.
