Job Title: Fabrication Technician

Job Description

As a Fabrication Technician, you will be responsible for transforming materials into essential components for our systems. This role involves both indoor and outdoor work. Initially, you will be based in one location, but you may have opportunities to travel across the country once you transition to a permanent position. You will utilize various tools such as heat guns, cutting wheels, hand tools, and power tools. Being computer savvy is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

+ Receive materials and follow templates to fabricate necessary components.

+ Perform detailed physical counts of inventory items, including parts and finished products.

+ Handwrite and securely attach tags to each counted item, ensuring all information is accurate and legible.

+ Record dates and counts accurately on tags and in inventory records.

+ Double-check counts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.

+ Pull tags from inventory items and validate information against inventory records.

+ Understand and utilize barcode systems for inventory tracking and validation.

+ Organize boxes and inventory items systematically for easy counting and retrieval.

+ Maintain a clean and orderly work area throughout the audit process.

+ Compile and report audit findings to the Inventory Manager and document any discrepancies.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in using basic hand tools such as chop saws, drills, socket/allen wrenches, circular saws, and handheld cutting wheels.

+ Understanding of basic electrical systems (Low voltage 120VAC to 48VDC) and wiring/wire termination.

+ Ability to interpret basic engineered single line diagrams.

+ Strong teamwork skills and ability to work in a moderate stress level environment.

+ Basic computer skills and familiarity with data entry and inventory management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in counting and tagging.

+ Strong organizational skills to efficiently manage and arrange inventory items.

+ Proficiency in basic math for accurate counts and calculations.

+ Good verbal and written communication skills for clear documentation and reporting.

+ Familiarity with barcode systems and basic computer skills.

+ Ability to stand for long periods and lift boxes up to 50-60lbs.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled facility located in El Dorado Hills, CA. The standard work hours are from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with weekends and holidays off. Overtime may be required occasionally with prior notice.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of El Dorado Hills, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.50/hr.
