             Job Title: Production Operations Technician Job Description As a Production Operations Technician, you will be responsible for coordinating the parts, assembly, testing, painting, packaging, and shipping of company products. This role involves a variety of manufacturing tasks, including assembling, operating manual and automatic equipment, and setting up machines. You will also be testing and dismantling unit assemblies and complex subassembly workstations according to appropriate work process instructions. The position requires rotating among all stations within each assembly cell, performing repetitive work at a consistent pace to meet customer demands. A working knowledge and ability to repair final unit assemblies and complex subassemblies is essential. Responsibilities + Coordinate parts, assembly, testing, painting, packaging, and shipping of products. + Perform a variety of manufacturing tasks, including assembling and operating equipment. + Set up machines, test, and dismantle unit assemblies and subassemblies. + Rotate among all stations within each assembly cell to meet customer demands. + Repair final unit assemblies and complex subassemblies using power tools. Essential Skills + Minimum 6 months of prior production experience. + Minimum 6 months in an assembly-based position. + Ability to read, write, and understand instructions. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, drills, and torque guns. + Background in automotive or manufacturing industries. Why Work Here? Work Environment This large manufacturing facility operates through 13-14 different assembly lines, offering open positions across three shifts: 1st Shift (6 AM - 2 PM), 2nd Shift (2 PM - 10 PM), and 3rd Shift (10 PM - 6 AM). The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, t-shirts, and gloves, as many products have oil on them due to the focus on hydraulic components requiring lubrication. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of AMES, Iowa. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.70/hr.
