             Job Title: Fleet Mechanic Job Description We are seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our team. This role involves diagnosing vehicle failures, performing necessary repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance on a range of fleet vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and material handling equipment. You will assist with larger repairs and maintain accurate documentation and vehicle records. Responsibilities + Diagnose failures of vehicles and disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts as necessary. + Perform brake pad repairs and oil changes on fleet vehicles. + Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and material handling equipment. + Maintain accurate documentation and utilize vehicle software systems for work orders and vehicle records. + Assist Lead Technicians with larger fleet repairs, such as engine repairs. Essential Skills + Experience in fleet maintenance and automotive mechanics. + Proficiency in automotive body repair and automotive technology. + Knowledge of hydraulic equipment and automotive maintenance and repair. + Experience with hydraulics repairs, engine maintenance, engine repair, diesel maintenance, and engine diagnostics. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Certifications within automotive repair are highly preferred. + Familiarity with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. + Proficiency in engine diagnostics. Work Environment Work in a collaborative environment on the 2nd shift, from 1 pm to 9:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Initially, candidates will train on the 1st shift with the Lead Technician for at least two weeks before transitioning to the 2nd shift. The team consists of four technicians in total, with two on each shift. All work is conducted on-site in the shop. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, New York. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
