We are seeking an advanced modeling and simulation expert focused on medium-voltage (MV) to low-voltage (LV) power distribution systems for mission-critical infrastructure, such as data centers and industrial facilities. In this role you will work a hybrid or remote work model out of our Princeton, NJ office location. **Ideal candidates possess a PhD in ElectricalEngineering** with deep expertise in power system simulation, protection, and/or power electronics. Professionals with a Master’s may be considered provided they meet key technical criteria. Responsibilities: + Model,simulate, and analyze MV and LV power distribution systems using advancedtools (e.g., PSCAD, MATLAB/Simulink, OpenDSS) + Conductphasor and electromagnetic transient (EMT) analyses to ensure resilience,reliability, and performance in microgrids, data centers, and industrialsettings + Performdetailed studies on protection coordination, system stability, andintegration of advanced power electronics and control schemes + Developand maintain accurate models, validate results, and prepare cleartechnical documentation + Supporttechnology roadmapping, pre-development of products and features, andcontribute to strategic technology decisions for Siemens business unitsglobally + Collaborateacross diverse, multidisciplinary teams to drive high-impact solutions andnew business opportunities Basic Qualifications: + PhDin Electrical Engineering (focus on protection, or power electronicspreferred); Master’s with strong relevant experience considered + Expertproficiency with PSCAD; practical experience in EMT and phasor-basedmodeling and simulation + Hands-onexperience with medium-voltage and low-voltage distribution systemsimulations for complex industrial systems + Programming/scriptingfor automation and model management (e.g., Python, MATLAB) + Legallyauthorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in thefuture.
