The Airfreight Operational Care team leader is responsible to manage the day-to-day operation and Operational Care Team, to deliver excellent, customer-centric operational execution while maximizing profitability. The development of Airfreight operations, enhancing operational capabilities between cost-efficiency and high-quality processing are an important function of the role. The Operational Care team leader is directly involved in driving business development by managing solutions and costs through carrier/partner engagement. All activities are to be performed in compliance with rules and regulations governing air transport, industry, and product standards, KN standards and guidelines, and executed via KN operational systems.
How you create impact
+ To lead the Operational Care center team under their direct management
+ To ensure operational excellence through high-quality shipment/process management
+ To monitor operational performance and increase data and execution quality according to all KN requirements
+ To resolve problems escalated by a team member or any other stakeholder, sustainability
+ To maximize profitability through cost optimization
+ To collaborate with all partners/suppliers, gateway, warehouse, customs teams, the RCC, and external parties as needed
+ To contribute as process owner to continuous improvements of processes and controls for lean and cost-efficient operation
+ To optimize operations and all systems utilization, working closely with the Optimization team, to ensure the highest levels of productivity within the organization
+ To support Airfreight procurement and carrier/partner relationship management
+ To support the development of pricing strategies (liaise on pricing / RFQ preparation)
+ To closely cooperate with Customer Service and key account teams to gain specialized customer specific knowledge and to receive first-hand feedback about the OCC operational execution To support Sales and the Customer Care teams to develop new / existing customers, and during account implementation
What we would like you to bring
+ 2 to 5 years of experience in Air logistics
+ 2 to 5 years of experience in Frieght Forwarding
+ High knowledge of freight forwarding, operations and import-export regulations
+ Analytical & Organizing Skills
+ Knowledge of KN products, services, systems, processes
+ Problem Solving and Time Management
+ The Airfreight Operational Care team leader demonstrates leadership, a high degree of communication skills, commercial acumen, and must be performance driven.
+ Demonstrable change management mindset, time management skills, and a willingness to improve are essential.
+ Critical to the role is a high level of attention to details, managerial skills in organizing, planning, assigning and controlling, as well a decision making skills. Flexibility and an ability to work under pressure are necessary.
